Project Development
Lesley Searchpath was created by a team of librarians, technologists, and an illustrator working with students and faculty. The project
was federally funded with LSTA funds through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

We would like to acknowledge our deep appreciation to Elaine Anderson Jayne and the team at Western Michigan University (WMU) that created
the first version of Searchpath. We chose to build our tutorial
on Searchpath because of the 6-module architecture, the overall look and feel, and the concise language. The Lesley team used most of the open
source screens of WMU's Searchpath, but edited many of the words and images to match the Lesley student populations and academic programs.
We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the developers of the
University of Texas TILT) tutorial, which was the open source prototype for WMU's
Searchpath, as well as the inspiration that convinced us a tutorial could be truly interactive. We have borrowed TILT's open source code and image
of the Tiltometer for our Info-Meter and the code of SiteVision for our You be the Judge activity.
Additionally, the creator of the American University Library Tutorial graciously shared the code and images for their
call number exercise. We are grateful for her
generosity.
